‫The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Stockholm expresses its sincere gratitude to the government of the Kingdom of Sweden for its continued support to Iraq throughout the course of the bilateral relations between both countries underscored by its decision to extend the Sweden’s Development Cooperation with Iraq for the next five years (2022-2026).

The embassy affirms that the new strategy will provide new opportunities in the the steady growing bilateral relations between the Republic of Iraq and the Kingdom of Sweden, and will open up new horizons towards sustainable development after the great victory over terrorism ending its hateful dream and threat to the whole world thanks to the valor of Iraq’s armed forces and international cooperation and support, including  Sweden.

Sweden’s support to Iraq is part of its humanitarian message in the areas of development and combating terrorism, emphasizing that the development in Iraq, a space for common understandings and the place where interests meet, is beneficial for  steady the entire region, wishing steady prosperity for Iraq and Sweden.
