Procedures to grant birth confirmations

Steps to be followed:-

1- Submit a request to the consul stating to whom it may concern that the Iraqi personal ID(Hawyat el Ahwal) can be considered as a birth certificate according to the Iraqi law and the applicant father and mother’s name should be written down in both Arabic and English with the requester phone number.

2-The Iraqi personal ID(Hawyat el Ahwal), a copy of it, the Iraqi passport, and an official American identity.

3-Fees collected (20) dollars in cash.

Note:-

It is possible to submit the application by mail without attending in person to the consulate building,make sure to follow the above steps and send a prepaid envelope with the sender’s address on for return.
