Certifying documents and certifications

Requirements for certifying documents and certifications.

1- The document or certifications should be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country from which the document or certificate was issued in order for the embassy to certify it and then the certification department in the consular department.

2- It is not permissible to certify documents and certifications issued from Iraq, unless they are certified by the certification section in the consular department.

3- In the absence of an Iraqi mission in a country, the document can be certified in that country’s mission deployed in Iraq, and then certified by the certification section in the Consular Department.

4- In the absence of an Iraqi mission in the country from which the document was issued, as well as the lack of a mission for that country in Iraq, the document or the certificate can be certified in another country in which there is a mission for that country and an Iraqi mission in order to be certified by the two missions and then certified by the Certification Section In the consular department.

5- Certification of the documents issued by the American entities could be certified after the documents are certified by the Department of State and paying the certification fees for each document.
