Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in London Meets Delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research

His Excellency Dr Salih Husain Ali Al-Tamimi, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United Kingdom, received a delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research during its visit to the United Kingdom to explore ways of strengthening academic and scientific cooperation, review the circumstances of Iraqi students and scholarship recipients at British universities, address the challenges they face, and explore opportunities to benefit from the expertise and skills of Iraqi professionals and academics in the United Kingdom.

The visit also included a review of the premises of the Iraqi Cultural Attaché’s Office in London and discussions on ways to develop and upgrade the building in order to enhance the efficiency of the Office and support the effective fulfilment of its responsibilities, in coordination with the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in the United Kingdom.

During the visit, His Excellency reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to continuing its support for Iraqi students and scholarship recipients and to strengthening coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in a manner that contributes to the advancement of higher education and scientific research and supports Iraqi students in the United Kingdom
