Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in London Meets Iraqi Participant in the British Museum’s International Training Programme

His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United Kingdom, Dr Salih Husain Ali Al-Tamimi, met with Dr Ali Hassan Khudair, Head of the Ancient Inscriptions Department at the Iraq Museum and the Iraqi participant in the 20th edition of the International Training Programme (ITP), organised by the British Museum with the participation of 22 specialists from various countries around the world.
During the meeting, they discussed the importance of the programme in developing museum expertise and facilitating the exchange of international experience in the areas of collections management, documentation, conservation and display. They also highlighted the importance of Iraqi professionals participating in international programmes and of strengthening Iraq’s cultural and civilisational presence.
The meeting was attended by Dr Wissam Al-Freiji, Head of the Expatriates Affairs Portfolio at the Embassy.
