Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to London Participates in Coordination Meeting for the Iraqi Medical Conference and Discusses Support for a Young Professionals Conference with the Academic Youth Association

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United Kingdom, Dr Salih Husain Ali Al-Tamimi, participated in a coordination meeting held via videoconference with the Head of the Political Planning Department at the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Alaauldin Al-Nasseri, and the Director of the Expatriates Department at the Advisory Commission, Mr Ahmed Al-Yasiri, to discuss preparations for the second edition of the Iraqi Medical Conference.

The participants reaffirmed the importance of the conference as a national platform for strengthening engagement with Iraqi medical professionals abroad, facilitating the exchange of expertise, and supporting the development of Iraq’s healthcare sector. Discussions also focused on finalising the organisational arrangements and approving scientific themes that will contribute to practical, actionable recommendations.

As part of the Embassy’s efforts to support Iraq’s young talent, His Excellency the Ambassador received the President of the Academic Youth Association, together with a number of experts affiliated with the Association, at the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in London. The meeting explored preparations for organising a conference dedicated to Iraqi youth and emerging professionals, with the aim of showcasing their academic and professional achievements and strengthening their contribution to Iraq’s development. The discussions also emphasised the importance of building sustainable institutional partnerships with Iraqi professionals in the United Kingdom and expanding cooperation with relevant British institutions.

These activities reflect the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in London’s commitment to strengthening institutional engagement with Iraqi professionals and experts abroad and drawing upon their academic and professional expertise in support of Iraq’s development priorities.
