Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United Kingdom Attends the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office Summer Reception

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United Kingdom, Dr Salih Hussein Ali Al-Tamimi, attended the Summer Reception hosted by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office at Lancaster House, following an invitation from the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, the Rt Hon Yvette Cooper MP.

During the reception, His Excellency met with the Foreign Secretary and the Minister for the Middle East, where they held a brief discussion on the current situation in the region and the bilateral relations between the Republic of Iraq and the United Kingdom.

On the sidelines of the reception, His Excellency also met with a number of Arab and foreign ambassadors in attendance, during which they exchanged views on several issues of mutual interest.
