Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United Kingdom Opens the Second Annual Exhibition of the Inanna Society for Fine Arts in London

His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United Kingdom, Dr Salih Husain Ali Al-Tamimi, inaugurated the Second Annual Exhibition of the Inanna Society for Fine Arts in the British capital, London, in the presence of a distinguished gathering of artists, intellectuals, members of the Iraqi community, and those interested in cultural and artistic affairs.

His Excellency toured the exhibition halls and viewed the participating artworks, which reflected the diversity of creative experiences among Iraqi female artists residing in the United Kingdom. The works conveyed cultural and humanitarian themes that expressed the depth of Iraqi identity and the richness of Iraqi fine art.

Those in attendance affirmed that the Ambassador’s participation and inauguration of the exhibition constituted significant support for Iraqi talent and creativity abroad, and conveyed a clear message of attention and care for Iraqi artists, intellectuals, and creatives within the diaspora. It also reflected the commitment of the Iraqi Embassy in London to supporting cultural activities that contribute to strengthening Iraq’s civilisational and cultural presence in international forums.

His Excellency also praised the role undertaken by the Inanna Society for Fine Arts in embracing talented Iraqi women artists and encouraging them to continue their artistic and cultural contributions in a manner that reflects the bright image of Iraqi women and their active role across various fields of creativity.

This exhibition forms part of a series of cultural and artistic events aimed at strengthening ties among members of the Iraqi community and showcasing Iraqi artistic production in diaspora communities, thereby reinforcing the values of cultural engagement and national belonging.

The Ambassador was accompanied by Dr Abdulhamid Al-Sayeh, Director of the Iraqi Cultural Centre in London, Second Secretary Mina Al-Saad, and Dr Wissam Al-Freiji from the Cultural Section of the Embassy
