Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United Kingdom Attends Memorial Ceremony for the Martyrs of the Feyli Kurds

His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United Kingdom, Dr Salih Husain Ali Al-Tamimi, accompanied by a number of staff members from the Iraqi Embassy, participated in a memorial ceremony dedicated to the martyrs of the Feyli Kurds. The event was held at the kind invitation of Sheikh Zaki Al-Faili and took place at the Imam Ali Foundation in London, in the presence of members of the Iraqi community as well as a number of social and cultural figures.

The ceremony featured reflections on the profound sacrifices made by the Feyli Kurds and the honourable national positions they have embodied across different periods, underscoring the depth of their sense of belonging and their steadfast commitment to the unity of Iraq.

His Excellency the Ambassador delivered a speech in which he commended the sacrifices of the Feyli Kurds and their prominent national role. He emphasised the importance of commemorating this occasion and of reinforcing the values of national unity among the Iraqi people. He also noted the Embassy’s continued engagement with the concerns and demands of the Feyli Kurds, and its efforts to convey them to the relevant governmental authorities.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the importance of honouring the memory of the martyrs and safeguarding the rights of the Feyli Kurds was reaffirmed in a manner that reflects loyalty to their sacrifices and promotes the principles of justice and fairness.
