Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in London Meets the President of the Iraqi Environment and Health Society

His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United Kingdom, Dr Salih Husain Ali Al-Tamimi, received at the Embassy Dr Jehan Baban, President of the Iraqi Environment and Health Society, to present the outcomes of the Nineteenth International Scientific Conference, held on Monday, 30 March 2026, under the patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in London.
During the meeting, the most prominent recommendations and findings of the conference were reviewed. The event witnessed wide participation from a distinguished group of Iraqi and British scientists and researchers specialising in environmental and health fields. Its sessions addressed a number of significant scientific issues, as well as avenues to strengthen research collaboration and the exchange of expertise between the two countries.
His Excellency the Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the Iraqi Environment and Health Society in organising this distinguished scientific conference, underscoring the importance of leveraging its outcomes to support pathways for sustainable development and to advance the environmental and health sectors in Iraq.
Dr Jehan Baban delivered a brief presentation outlining the key recommendations of the conference, with a view to informing public policy formulation and strengthening national efforts in the relevant fields.
Both sides affirmed the importance of continuing scientific cooperation between academic and research institutions in Iraq and the United Kingdom, in a manner that serves mutual interests and contributes to addressing environmental and health challenges.
