Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in London Meets Director of Editorial Programmes and Events at Embassy Magazine to Enhance Media and Diplomatic Cooperation

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United Kingdom, Dr Salih Husain Ali Al-Tamimi, received Ms Elizabeth Stewart, Director of Editorial Programmes and Events at Embassy Magazine, at the Embassy in London. The Magazine is concerned with organising events and seminars for diplomats in the United Kingdom.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance communication and media cooperation between the Embassy and institutions engaged in diplomatic affairs in the United Kingdom, in a manner that contributes to presenting a positive image of Iraq and strengthening its presence within political, diplomatic and media circles.
Both parties also addressed the importance of organising joint events and seminars that highlight the opportunities available in Iraq, particularly in the fields of investment and development.
His Excellency the Ambassador commended the role played by the Magazine through organising seminars dedicated to newly arrived diplomats in the United Kingdom, which cover a wide range of topics related to the nature of their work and contribute to enhancing their understanding of the diplomatic working environment, as well as developing their professional skills.
His Excellency reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to building effective partnerships with specialised media platforms, in a way that supports the delivery of a realistic and positive image of Iraq.
Ms Stewart expressed her appreciation to His Excellency the Ambassador for the opportunity to meet, affirming her desire to strengthen cooperation with the Embassy in a manner that serves the work of both sides and contributes to achieving mutual benefit for both the Embassy and the Magazine through the development of joint activities and the expansion of media and diplomatic coordination.
The meeting was attended by First Secretary Haider Issam Mohammed, Head of the Embassy’s Media Section.
