Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in London Participates in Easter Celebrations

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United Kingdom, Dr Salih Husain Ali Al-Tamimi, attended the Easter celebrations according to the Eastern calendar, at the kind invitation of His Eminence Mar Athanasius Toma Dawod, Head of the Syriac Orthodox Community in the United Kingdom. The celebrations were held at the Cathedral of St Thomas the Apostle in London, with the participation of a number of embassy staff, the Iraqi Cultural Attaché in London, and a large gathering of members of the Iraqi community.
The occasion featured a solemn mass and special prayers in a deeply spiritual atmosphere, followed by an exchange of greetings and well-wishes with members of the community. His Excellency extended his sincere congratulations, underscoring the importance of promoting the values of tolerance and coexistence, and of strengthening the bonds of unity among members of the Iraqi community in the United Kingdom. He also expressed his hope that this blessed occasion would bring blessings and peace to Iraq and its people, and that the world may enjoy security and stability.
The Ambassador’s participation reflects his commitment to maintaining close engagement with the Iraqi community and to sharing in their religious and social occasions, in a manner that embodies the spirit of pluralism and fraternity that characterises Iraqi society.
