Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United Kingdom Receives the Managing Director of the Iraq Britain Business Council (IBBC)

His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United Kingdom, Dr Salih Husain Ali Al-Tamimi, received Mr Christophe Michels, Managing Director of the Iraq Britain Business Council (IBBC), at the Embassy in London.
During the meeting, His Excellency emphasised the importance of further developing economic relations between the Republic of Iraq and the United Kingdom, and explored ways to strengthen them. He highlighted the important role played by the Council in advancing bilateral relations by creating new opportunities for business leaders and companies, noting that it serves as a significant platform bringing together various economic stakeholders. His Excellency also expressed his full support for the success of the Spring Conference, scheduled to be held in London this June with the participation of a range of economic and commercial representatives.
The meeting also addressed recent political and security developments in the region and their implications for the global economy.
Mr Michels expressed his appreciation for the significant role played by His Excellency the Ambassador and the Embassy in facilitating the Council’s work. He also provided a briefing on the Council’s recent activities, including the Autumn Conference held in Basra Governorate last December, as well as preparations currently underway to ensure the success of the upcoming Spring Conference in London.
The meeting was attended by Mr Amer Abdulhussein Al-Fatlawi, Counsellor and Head of the Economic Section at the Embassy.
