Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in London Meets Member of the International Chamber of Commerce

His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United Kingdom, Dr Salih Husain Ali Al-Tamimi, received Mr Mohammed Al-Issawi, a member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), at the Embassy in London. The meeting addressed prospects for international cooperation and the strengthening of economic and investment partnerships.
During the meeting, the role of the International Chamber of Commerce in supporting the global business environment was reviewed, including its efforts to facilitate cross-border trade and to provide arbitration and advisory frameworks that contribute to the resolution of commercial disputes in accordance with international standards.
The two sides also discussed the importance of developing channels of communication between the private sectors of both countries, as well as ways to benefit from advisory expertise in support of companies seeking investment opportunities.
His Excellency reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to supporting initiatives that enhance economic cooperation and attract investment, emphasising the importance of establishing a legal and regulatory environment that encourages business activity. For his part, Mr Al-Issawi expressed his readiness to utilise his expertise and professional networks within the framework of the International Chamber of Commerce to strengthen joint cooperation and provide the necessary advisory support to companies.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides underscored the importance of maintaining continued communication and coordination in support of shared economic interests.
