The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq to the United Kingdom commemorates the tenth anniversary of the genocide of the Yazidis and other Iraqi components

The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq to the United Kingdom held a solidarity stand on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the genocide of the Yazidis and other Iraqi components, at the embassy building in London, on Friday, 09/08/2024.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United Kingdom, Mr. Mohamed Jaafar Al-Sadr, and the embassy’s diplomats and staff all recalled the massacre that took place against the Yazidis and the Iraqi components, pointing out that what happened is a major crime that affected the Yazidi component, which has been subjected over time to successive genocides, stressing that what ISIS terrorist gangs have committed does not represent Islam and its teachings and values, pointing out that we need a broad process and awareness to combat the ideas of extremism, and that the Iraqi government is responsible for protecting its people, and so we need a real stand in all areas to do justice to the victims of this genocide.
