Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Fuad Hussein Arrived in London for a two-days visit
The Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Fuad Hussein, and his accompanying delegation arrived in London on Sunday, July 2, 2023, on a two-day official visit. The Minister will hold several meetings to promote bilateral relations between Iraq and the United Kingdom under the Iraqi-British strategic dialogue.
His Excellency will meet with his British counterpart, RT Hon Mr. James Cleverly, the Minister of Defence, RT Hon Mr. Ben Wallace, the Minister of State for Immigration, Mr. Robert Jenrick, and the Minister of State for Security Affairs at the Home Office, Mr. Tom Tugendhat.
Furthermore, meetings will be held with the Chair of the United Kingdom’s Foreign Affairs Committee Ms. Alicia Kearns, the Chair of the Defence Select Committee Mr. Tobias Ellwood, the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Iraq (APPG), and others. In the context of enhancing economic relations between Iraq and the United Kingdom, His Excellency the Foreign Minister will hold several meetings with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and a number of businessmen during an event at the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce, as well as meeting with the Executive Director of the British BT company and others.
