Ambassador Mohammad Jaafar Al-Sadr met with the Minister for the Middle East, James Cleverly

His Excellency Ambassador Mohammad Jaafar Al-Sadr met with the Minister for the Middle East, James Cleverly at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office on 12/14/2021.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between Iraq and the United Kingdom. H.E Ambassador Mohammad highlighted the latest developments in Iraq, especially in regard to the efforts to form the new government. Affirming Iraq’s keenness to maintain and strengthen bilateral relations in the interest of both countries and friendly peoples.

Mr. Cleverley affirmed the United Kingdom’s commitment to providing various kinds of support to the Iraqi government to achieve local and regional peace and stability. Mr. Cleverly reiterated the need to pursue joint efforts to overcome various challenges, especially in regard to combating the remnants of ISIS.
