Ambassador Mohammad Jaafar Al-Sadr meets with Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Department for International Development

On Monday, 16 March 2020, H.E. Ambassador Jaafar Al-Sadr met with the Rt Hon. James Cleverly.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in addition to discussing a number of issues of common concern; including the presence of foreign forces in Iraq and efforts to combat terrorism. The two sides stressed the importance of continuing efforts to combat terrorist organizations that still pose a threat to security and stability in Iraq and the region. The Coronavirus pandemic was also discussed, as well as measures the two countries taking to fight the spread of the Coronavirus and reduce death rates.
