Ambassador Mohammad Jaafar Al-Sadr participated in the meetings of the International Maritime Organization’s General Assembly

H.E. Ambassador Mohammad Jaafar Al-Sadr participated in the meetings of the 31st session of the International Maritime Organization Assembly, which was held at the headquarters of the Organization in London on the 25/11/2019.

The Assembly is IMO’s the highest governing body. It is responsible for approving the work programme and budget; and determining financial arrangements and electing the IMO Council. The Assembly consists of all IMO Member States and meets once every two years.

It is worth mentioning that Iraq has received a technical support from the International Maritime Organization to develop the Iraqi maritime sector and ports.
