Ambassador Mohammad Jaafar Al-Sadr meets the Director of the Middle East and North Africa at the British Department for International Development

On November 25, 2019, H.E. Ambassador Mohammed Jaafar Al-Sadr met with Mark Bryson Richardson, Director of the Middle East and North Africa at the Department for International Development (DFID).

During the meeting, they discussed the contribution of the United Kingdom along with the International Monetary Fund, Germany and Canada, to boost investment, provide job opportunities and support the financial and economic sectors.

Mr. Richardson highly appreciated the efforts of the Iraqi security forces and their role in eliminating ISIS. Stressing the UK’s commitment to rebuilding the liberated cities and provide the necessary needs for the return of displaced people.

Ambassador Mohammad reiterated the Iraqi government’s continued determination to expand the frameworks of joint cooperation with the United Kingdom and the international community and take all measures to facilitate the entry of British businessmen and investors and attract foreign expertise to develop the economic and financial sector in Iraq.
