The Embassy of Iraq in London participated in the Seventh Scientific Conference for Renewable Energy in Iraq
The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in London represented by the chargé d’affaires ad interim, participated in the seventh scientific conference sponsored by the Iraqi Environment and Health Society in the UK entitled “Renewable Energy in Iraq: Protecting the Environment and strengthening sustainable Economy”, which was held at UCL University in London.
The conference was opened by Dr. Jehan Baban, the head of the Society and environmental expert. The Chargé d’affaires ad interim highlighted in her speech, the importance of the renewable energy, which is one of the most important issues that attract the attention of many countries around the world amid concerns over the serious environmental and climate challenges.
She reiterated the Iraqi government keenness on supporting the efforts to improve the quality of environmental in Iraq and to create a better living environment.
In attendance was the Iraq ex-Minister of Water Resources Dr. Latif Rashid and Dr. Husain Al-Chalabi – petroleum consultant.
