Distinguished Members of Iraqi Parliament visit the UK

A delegation of Iraqi parliament comprising the MPs; Iqbal al-Saadi, Hussein al-Maliki and Furat al-Tamimi on Foreign Relations Committee and MP Riad Abbas Abdullah on the Investment Committee and MP Alaa Dalfi on the parliamentary services committee, made an official visit to the UK last week.

H.E. Ambassador Salih al-Tamimi joined the meetings between the delegation and the Members of the two houses of the British parliament as well as the meetings with the Iraq desk officers at some of the UK ministries including the ministry of Foreign Affairs, Defence, International Development, International Trade, Interior and Counterterrorism, alongside with the UK Export Finance.

During the meetings the two sides discussed the importance of working together to enhance the parliamentary relations between Iraq and the United Kingdom, and to forge a strategic partnership that promotes the interests of the people of our two countries.
