The meeting of the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United Kingdom Dr. Saleh Al-Tamimi with Dr. Andrew Morrison, Secretary of State for Middle East Affairs at the British Foreign Office

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in the United Kingdom, Dr. Saleh Al-Tamimi, met with Dr. Andrew Morrison, Secretary of State for Middle East Affairs at the British Foreign Office. During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues of common interest, especially the stability and calm in the region.

Dr. Morrison stressed the UK’s commitment to Iraq and the continued support in various areas such as combating terrorism, extremist ideology and assistance in reconstruction especially the liberated areas from Daesh.

The Ambassador emphasized on the depth of the relationships between the between Iraq and the UK and strive to strengthen it. Both sides stressed the need to give greater attention to the trade,  investment and cooperation in the case of Antiquities and development courses for Iraqi archaeologists and the  help of the UK supporting antiquity files in general.
