Meeting of the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in the United Kingdom Dr. Saleh Al-Tamimi with members of the Iraq Scheme.

His Excellency met with British Museum experts and eight Iraqi trainees who took part of the Iraq Scheme Program run by the British Museum.  His Excellency praised the role of Iraqi women who have been able to prove a remarkable presence in this field.  Iraq Scheme received vital support of the UK government in the training of the Iraqi State Board of Antiquities and Heritage staff.

The trainings are vital in the reconstruction and restoration of archaeological sites and museums damaged by terrorist acts. The meeting was attended by First Secretary Dr. Ghassan Luaibi Menati /  Legal Section at the Embassy.
