The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq to the United Kingdom organizes an economic seminar on investment opportunities in Iraq

In continuation of the efforts of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq to the United Kingdom to open up to the Iraqi community in Britain through the establishment of various events, and as an extension of the Energy Forum organized by the Embassy with the participation of (400) persons in London last January, to highlight the successful experiences in Iraq and encourage Iraqi competencies and innovators to contribute to building their country and encouraging investment in Iraq.

The Embassy, in cooperation with the Iraqi Innovators Platform, held a seminar entitled: “Investing in Iraq – A Look at Technology and Real Estate Development”, at the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce Hall in London on Wednesday, 15/05/2024.

The seminar was attended by a number of members of the community, investors, workers in institutions, non-governmental organizations and private companies, including: the founder of the 1001 platform project, the founder of the Iraqi House Company, which specializes in real estate investment, and the director of sales and e-marketing for real estate at Homele.

The participants in the seminar presented a comprehensive overview of the economic development witnessed by Iraq and the investment opportunities available in it by introducing the experiences of young members of the community who have made successful investments in Iraq, and the participants stressed that Iraq is the fourth largest emerging market for foreign direct investment, and is the second largest country growing in GDP in the countries of the region, which makes the Iraqi market a suitable environment for investment, especially in the real estate field, as for the technology sector and digital platforms, Iraq is witnessing Rapid growth in this area is in parallel with Iraq’s significant population growth.

The seminar was attended by Deputy Ambassador Jwan Hasan Tawfiq and a number of embassy diplomats.
