Advisor to the Prime Minister for Investment Affairs meets with a number of officials of the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development


As part of his visit to the United Kingdom, the Advisor to the Prime Minister for Investment Affairs/Executive Director of the Iraq Fund for Development, Mr. Mohammed Al-Najjar, met with a number of officials of the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development on Tuesday, 14/05/2024.
Mr. Al-Najjar met (separately) with:

  • Head of the Middle East and North Africa Department, Ambassador Stephen Hickey.
  • Joint Director of the Economic Division for Iraq and the Arabian Peninsula, Mr. Ivan Parks.
  • Vice President of the Economic Department for the Middle East and North Africa, Mr. Richard Erlpark.

During the meetings, they discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries in the economic sector, especially in the field of supporting the Iraq Fund for Development (IFD), with the aim of improving the investment environment in Iraq and achieving economic and social development by attracting foreign investments and supporting the private sector.
The meetings were attended by the representatives of the Embassy: First Secretary Hashem Bahr Al Uloom, and First Secretary Mohamed Hamid Ahmed.
