نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الخارجيَّة يلتقي نائب رئيس الوزراء الكوبيّ في نيويورك
إلتقى نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الخارجيَّة فؤاد حسين، مع نائب رئيس الوزراء الكوبيّ السيّدة أنس ماريا چاپمان، بتاريخ 24 آذار 2023، على هامش مُشارَكته في قمة المياه التي تعقد اجتماعاتها في مقر الأمم المتحدة في نيويورك، وقدم السيّد الوزير التهنئة إلى كوبا على رئاستها لهذا العام لمجموعة ال(٧٧) والصين، مُشيرًا إلى العلاقات التاريخيَّة والتقليديَّة الثنائيَّة التي تجمع بين العراق وكوبا، ورغبة جُمْهُوريَّة العراق إلى تعزيزها في جميع الجوانب وخاصة الإقتصاديَّة والتجاريَّة والعلميَّة والصحيَّة، وكذلك السياسيَّة من خلال الدبلوماسيَّة المُتعددة في المُنظمات الدوليَّة، مُؤكَّدًا على أهمّيَّة إعادة العلاقات الثنائيَّة بين البلدين وإعادة أفتتاح السفارة الكوبيَّة في بغداد والسفارة العراقيَّة في هافانا، اخذين بنظر الاعتبار تاريخ هذه العلاقات والبناء عليه لغرض العمل على ما يمكن القيام به لتعزيز هذه العلاقات مُستقبلاً من أجل تحقيق المصالح المُشترَكة.
من جانبها أعربت السيّدة انس ماريا عن سعادتها بهذا اللقاء، مُؤكَّدةً على رغبة حكومة وشعب كوبا بتعزيز العلاقات الثنائيَّة مع العراق للمكانة التي يتمتع بها في المنطقة والمنظمات الدوليَّة والإقليميَّة، وكذلك السعي نحو استئناف العلاقات الإقتصاديَّة والتجاريَّة بين البلدين، مُشيرةً إلى أهمّيَّة تبادل التجارب والممارسات الفضلى في العديد من القطاعات ومنها الزراعيَّة ومعالجات تغييرات المناخ وإدارة مصادر المياه وكذلك نظام الرعايَّة الصحيَّة، مُشيرةً إلى أهمّيَّة تحقيق الزيارات المتبادلة بين البلدين، ووجهت الدعوة إلى نائب رئيس الوزراء وزير الخارجيَّة لحضور قمة الابتكار والعلوم والتكنولوجيا التي ستعقد على مُستوى وزراء الخارجيَّة في شهر أيلول القادم.
وقدم معالي نائب رئيس الوزراء وزير الخارجيَّة الشكر على الدعوة لحضور القمة وزيارة كوبا لإجراء اللقاءات التي من شانها إنَّ تعزز العلاقات الثنائيَّة بين البلدين ووضع أجندة هذه الاجتماعات لتشمل الجوانب الإقتصاديَّة والتجاريَّة والبيئيَّة، مُوضحاً أنَّ بعثتيّ العراق وكوبا في الأمم المتحدة في نيويورك ستتولى متابعة البدء في خطوات إعادة العلاقات ومن ثم العمل على إعادة أفتتاح السفارتين.
وفي ختام اللقاء أعرب الجانبان عن سعادتهما بهذا اللقاء واتفقا على أهمّيَّة إستمرار اللقاءات وتبادل الزيارات من أجل التنسيق والتعاون بين الجانبين. وحضر اللقاء السيّد نزار محمد سعيد آميدي وزير البيئة، ود. عباس كاظم عبيد، رئيس دائرة المنظمات والمؤتمرات الدوليَّة، والسيّد سرحد فتاح القائم بالأعمال في الممثلية الدائمة لجُمْهُوريَّة العراق في نيويورك.
