إستقبل نائب رئيس الوزراء وزير الخارجيَّة فؤاد حسين، اليوم الأحد المُوافق 2023/1/8، مبعوث الرئيس الفلسطينيّ أمين سر اللجنة المركزية لحركة فتح ورئيس المجلس الأعلى للشباب والرياضة الفريق جبريل الرجوب.
إذ أعرب السيّد الوزير عن سعادته لدعم دولة فلسطين لـ “خليجي25″، مُؤكَّدًا أنَّ البطولة لها ابعاد مُتعددة، وما لهذه البطولة من تاريخ طويل وأحداث عالقة في أذهان جماهير الكرة الخليجيَّة والعربيَّة، وأنّها المرة الثانيَّة، التي يستضيف فيها العراق البطولة الخليجيَّة، إذ كانت المرة الأولى عام 1979 في بغداد، لنسخة “خليجي 5”.
وجرى خلال اللقاء بحث سُبُل تعزيز التعاون الثنائيّ بين البلدين، وعدداً من القضايا الإقليميَّة، بخاصة أبرز التطورات في المنطقة، وأكَّد السيّد الوزير على أنَّ القضيَّة الفلسطينيَّة وجدانية ولها تجليات في الإجتماع والسياسة والهاجس اليوميّ للعراق، مُؤكَّدًاً؛ على وحدة الموقف الفلسطينيّ وأهميَّة ذلك للمسار الإستراتيجيّ المنشود لحقوق شعبها.
مُضيفًا؛ أنَّ العراق يدعم وجود حركة تضامنيَّة معلنة تجاه فلسطين وقضيتها، مًضافًا للتنسيق إقليميًا ودوليًا بهذا الشأن، داعيًا إلى ضرورة إنَّ تكون القضيَّة الفلسطينيَّة الجزء الأهم في الأجندة العربيَّة وشاغل جماعيّ لمجموع أطرافها، مطالبًا بتشكيل مجموعة إتصال تعنى بالقضيَّة الفلسطينيَّة، والعمل على إيجاد شبكة إقليميَّة وبامتدادات دوليَّة مُتعددة الأطراف.
من جانبه، قدم مبعوث الرئيس الفلسطينيّ شكره لدعم فلسطين وحضورها في “خليجي25″، مُشيدًا بحفل افتتاح البطولة، والذي استضافه ملعب البصرة الدوليّ، وما صاحبه من فقرات فنيَّة جميلة، مُؤكَّدًا أنَّ “بطولة خليجي 25” لن تفيد البصرة فقط، بل دول الخليج بالكامل، عبر نقل صورة مُميزة لإقامة بطولات دوليَّة في عواصم الخليج لاحقًا.
وأكَّد السيّد جبريل الرجوب على أنَّ تنظيم بطولة خليجي 25 في العراق تعبر عن إستعادة دور العراق إقليميًا ودوليًا، وتُؤكَّد حالة الإستقرار الداخليّ في العراق على كافة الصعد.
