Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Malaysia Attends the Annual Celebration of Al-Waritheen Foundation and Dar Al-Jailani International
The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Malaysia, H.E. Mr. Adnan Mhalhal Al Maajoon, participated on Saturday, October 17, 2026, in the 22nd annual celebration organized by the Al-Waritheen Foundation and Dar Al-Jailani International, headed by His Eminence Sheikh Afeefuddin Al-Kailani.
The ceremony featured a collective recitation and completion (Khatm) of the Holy Qur’an, religious lectures, recitations from the honorable Seerah (biography) of the Prophet, and poems commemorating the Mawlid (birth of the Prophet) in multiple languages. The event also marked the annual commemoration (Hawliyyah) of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al-Jailani, recalling his status and contributions to consolidating the values of Islamic Sufism, alongside the performance of religious chants and praises (Nasheeds and Mada’ih).
His Excellency the Ambassador was accompanied at the celebration by Minister Plenipotentiary Counselor Dr. Hudayfa Zead Mahmoud.
This participation comes as part of the Embassy’s keenness to strengthen cultural and religious ties between Iraq and Malaysia, and to promote the values of moderation, tolerance, and mutual understanding between the two peoples.
