Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur Participates in the Opening Ceremony of the New Academic Year.

The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq to Malaysia participated in the official ceremony on October 5, 2026, organized by the Iraqi School in Kuala Lumpur to mark the commencement of the new academic year 2026–2027.

The ceremony was attended by His Excellency the Ambassador, Mr. Adnan Mhalhal Al Maajoon, Counselor at the Embassy, Mr. Ahmed Ghanim Abduljabbar, and Cultural Attaché, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abduljaleel Mohamad Mageed, alongside the Principal of the Iraqi School in Kuala Lumpur, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Othman Majeed Rasheed, members of the teaching staff, and students enrolled for the current academic year.

The ceremony commenced with the playing of the Iraqi National Anthem, followed by an address by the Principal of the Iraqi School in Kuala Lumpur. In his speech, he congratulated the students and teaching staff on the start of the new academic year, emphasizing the importance of discipline, perseverance, and dedication to achieving academic excellence and success.

Furthermore, the Principal addressed several administrative and academic guidelines designed to foster an educational environment based on discipline, focus, and commitment, thereby supporting the educational process and elevating students’ academic achievement.

The event also featured the honoring of outstanding Iraqi students, who were presented with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their excellence and high academic achievements in the final examinations for both graduating and non-graduating grades, encouraging them to maintain their academic distinction and excellence.
