Iraqi Ambassador to Malaysia Meets with Sudanese Counterpart to Discuss Enhancing Cooperation and Coordination

His Excellency Ambassador Adnan Mhalhal Al Maajoon, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Malaysia, met on Monday, September 14, 2026, with His Excellency Ambassador Hassan Abdelsalam Omer, Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Malaysia, at the Embassy of Sudan in Kuala Lumpur.

The meeting began with an exchange of congratulations on the occasion of Ambassador Al Maajoon assuming his duties. The two sides discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination between their respective diplomatic missions, in addition to exchanging views on key regional and international developments, recent political developments in Malaysia, and issues of mutual interest.

Both sides underscored the importance of further strengthening coordination among Arab diplomatic missions in Malaysia, in a manner that contributes to supporting Arab Malaysian relations and advancing areas of cooperation.

The Iraqi side was represented by Counsellor Ahmed Ghanim Abdul Jabbar, while the Sudanese side was represented by Dr. Elwaleed Sayed, Deputy Head of Mission.
