Iraqi Ambassador Meets Qatari Counterpart to Discuss Enhancing Arab Coordination in Malaysia

H.E. Mr. Adnan Al-Mhalhal Al-Maajoon, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Malaysia, met with H.E. Mr. Salah Al-Surour, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Malaysia, during an official visit paid by Ambassador Al-Maajoon to the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the administrative capital, Putrajaya.

The Qatari Ambassador welcomed his Iraqi counterpart and wished him every success in carrying out his duties as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iraq to Malaysia, stressing the importance of strengthening communication and coordination between the two diplomatic missions.

For his part, Ambassador Al-Maajoon expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Ambassador Al-Surour for his congratulations and extended his warm congratulations to him on the occasion of being awarded the Dato’ Seri title by the Sultan of Terengganu, one of the highest honours conferred by the state. He noted that this distinction reflects the depth of relations and mutual appreciation between Malaysia and Arab diplomacy and represents an achievement that adds to the distinguished record of Arab diplomatic engagement.

The meeting also discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination among the Arab diplomatic missions accredited to Malaysia and exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest. Such efforts would contribute to unifying joint efforts, strengthening the Arab presence and coordination, and supporting the development of Arab– Malaysian relations.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Ambassador Al-Surour expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Ambassador Al-Maajoon for this fraternal initiative and for the kind sentiments and words of appreciation he conveyed, affirming the importance of maintaining close communication and coordination among the Arab embassies in Malaysia.
