Chargé d’ Affaires a.i. Participates in the “Malaysia Quran Hour 2026” Event

The Chargé d’Affaires a.i., of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Malaysia, the Counsellor Dr. Hudayfa Zead Mahmoud, participated on 30 August 2026, in the official “Malaysian Quran Hour” event, organized by the Malaysian Government and held at the Sultan Abdullah Mosque in Kuala Lumpur.

The event was attended by Her Majesty the Queen of Malaysia, alongside several religious figures, community leaders, and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to Malaysia.

The annual event aims to promote the culture of reading and reflecting upon the Holy Quran, raise awareness of its teachings and values, and encourage people to embrace its teachings and apply its principles in their daily lives.

On the sidelines of his participation, Counselor Dr. Hudayfa Zead Mahmoud, praised the annual initiative for its important role in enhancing awareness of the Holy Quran and highlighting its principles.

He emphasized its status as a guiding book, a constitution for the Ummah, and a way of life, highlighting the noble values it encompasses that contribute to reinforcing morality, peaceful coexistence, and social solidarity.
