Participation of the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. in the Official Celebration of the 69th Independence Day of Malaysia.
Upon the invitation extended to the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i., the Counselor Dr. Hudayfa Zead Mahmoud, attended the official celebration organized by the Malaysian government on the occasion of the 69th Independence Day of the country, held under the theme (Malaysia MADANI: The Desired Prosperity).
The ceremony was held on the morning of Monday August 31st, 2026, at the Main Celebrations Square in Putrajaya, the administrative capital of Malaysia.
The event was held in the presence of His Majesty Yang Maha Mulia Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong XVII Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, King of Malaysia, and Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, along with senior official and executive dignitaries, ambassadors, heads of diplomatic missions, and their representatives.
The celebration featured military and civil parades representing various agencies under the Ministries of Defense and Home Affairs, major national corporations, and key institutions, alongside cultural performance troupes showcasing the country’s heritage and traditions. Guests were invited by the government to wear traditional Malaysian attire, reflecting shared appreciation for the significance of the occasion.
