The Fourth edition of the (Study of Iraq Programme)
The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur is pleased to announce the fourth edition of the (Study in Iraq (Programme for the academic year 2026–2027, an initiative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, effective from 5 April 2026.
This programme provides scholarships funded by the Iraqi government for international students of all nationalities, ethnicities, and religions, without discrimination, for both genders, based on the principle that education is a right for all. This programme operates through three study channels, as follows:
- Fully-funded scholarship: Total exemption from tuition fees.
- Half-funded scholarship: Students pay only 50% of the tuition fees.
- Self-funded track: Students pay full tuition fees.
Iraqi universities (public, private, and national) offer diverse academic programmes across all disciplines, including engineering, medical, pure sciences, humanities, and social sciences, among others.
Online applications is exclusively through the program’s platform. Admission is based on competitive merit, in accordance with the approved regulations.
