Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Receives a delegation from the Global Exhibitions and Conferences Group.

The Chargé d’Affaires a.i., Counsellor Ahmed Ghanim Abdul Jabbar, received on 22 June 2026 a delegation from the Global Exhibitions and Conferences Group, headed by Chief Executive Officer Hafiz A Bakar, and accompanied by Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications Nur Idayu binti Ismail.

During the meeting, the delegation briefed the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. on the Group’s activities and future plans, while both sides discussed opportunities for cooperation in the field of organizing international conferences and exhibitions.

The meeting also addressed the upcoming Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA 2027), scheduled to be held in Langkawi, Malaysia, from 20 to 24 April 2027, with the participation of a wide range of countries and specialized companies in the fields of defense and aerospace.

For his part, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. commended Malaysia’s distinguished reputation in hosting and organizing international events, and highlighted the strong and evolving relations between Iraq and Malaysia across various fields.
