Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Participates in Iftar Reception Hosted by the Malaysian Ministry of Home Affairs with High-Level Ministerial and Diplomatic Attendance.

The Chargé d’Affaires a.i., Counsellor Ahmed Ghanem Abdul Jabbar, attended the Ramadan Iftar reception hosted by the Ministry of Home Affairs in Kuala Lumpur on 2 March 2026.

The event was attended by the Minister of Home Affairs, Mr. Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, and the Minister of Religious Affairs, Dr. Zulkifli Hasan, in addition to senior leadership of the Royal Malaysia Police. A number of Arab and Islamic Ambassadors and Heads of Mission accredited to Malaysia were also in attendance.

During the occasion, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. expressed his sincere appreciation to the Malaysian Minister of Home Affairs for the kind invitation, commending the depth of bilateral relations and the shared bonds between the Republic of Iraq and Malaysia. He reaffirmed the importance of further strengthening frameworks of cooperation and coordination in a manner that serves the mutual interests of the two friendly countries. He further noted that such Ramadan gatherings embody the noble values of the holy month and reflect the spirit of fraternity and compassion, while also providing an important platform for enhancing communication between state institutions and the diplomatic community, within a framework of mutual respect and shared understanding.
