Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Discusses Enhancing Cybersecurity Cooperation with CyberSecurity Malaysia.
The Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur, Counsellor Ahmed Ghanim Abduljabbar, met on 26 February 2026 with representatives of CyberSecurity Malaysia at the Agency’s headquarters in Cyberjaya, to explore avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of cybersecurity.
During the meeting, discussions focused on prospects for collaboration in the protection of digital infrastructure, the development of national capacities, and the exchange of technical expertise.
The Chargé d’Affaires a.i. was also briefed on the mandate of CyberSecurity Malaysia and its role in advancing cybersecurity by delivering cyber incident response services, technical advisory support, training and capacity-building programs, alongside its engagement in regional and international cooperation within this vital domain.
Both sides underscored the importance of intensifying joint coordination to address cross-border cyber threats and of building sustainable strategic partnerships that contribute to strengthening the security and stability of the digital space in the two friendly countries.
