Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Meets the Ambassador of Kazakhstan Accredited to Malaysia to Expand Prospects for Cooperation
The Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur, Counsellor Ahmed Ghanim Abduljabbar, met on 16 February 2026 with H.E. Mr. Bolat Sugurbayev, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Malaysia, at the premises of the Kazakhstan Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed avenues for strengthening bilateral relations between Iraq and Kazakhstan, with a focus on prospects for cooperation in the economic, commercial, and cultural fields.
They also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest, reaffirming their shared commitment to enhancing partnership between the two countries, building upon the historical and cultural ties that unite their peoples, and further strengthened through cooperation within common Islamic and international organizations.
This meeting comes within the framework of ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at enhancing communication among Asian countries, amid growing interest in activating economic and investment partnerships in the region, reflecting the joint commitment to developing solid and sustainable bilateral relations.
