Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur Participates in the State of Qatar’s National Sport Day Celebrations.

The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur participated on 8 February 2026 in the sporting events organized by the Embassy of the State of Qatar on the occasion of the country’s National Sport Day. The event was attended by the Chargé d’Affaires ad interim, Counsellor Ahmed Ghanem Abdul Jabbar, several embassy staff members, as well as members of the Iraqi community.

The event witnessed broad participation from heads and representatives of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Malaysia, in addition to representatives from the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, several ministries, and members of the Malaysian Parliament.

The activities included a football tournament, with teams representing diplomatic missions and participating institutions, in an atmosphere that reflected the spirit of cooperation and communication among the accredited missions.

The Embassy’s participation in this event comes within the framework of strengthening fraternal relations and consolidating cooperation between the Republic of Iraq and the State of Qatar, contributing to the support of bilateral relations at various levels. At the conclusion of the event, the Iraqi mission expressed its gratitude and appreciation to the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Kuala Lumpur, commending the excellent organization and warm hospitality.
