Chargé d’Affaires ad Interim Discusses Enhancing Academic Cooperation between Iraq and Malaysia

The Chargé d’Affaires ad interim, Counselor Ahmed Ghanem Abdul Jabbar, accompanied by the Cultural Attaché, Assistant Professor Dr. AbdulJalil Mohammed Majeed, visited the Institute of Malaysian and International Studies (IKMAS) at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). During the visit, they met with the Director of the Institute, Professor Dr. Mohd Kamarulnizam  Bin Abdullah, along with a number of academics.

The meeting discussed prospects for joint academic and scientific cooperation between Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and Iraqi universities. A brief overview was also presented on the Institute’s organizational structure, its research units, and its academic contributions.

The Chargé d’Affaires ad interim emphasized the importance of strengthening university partnerships between the two countries, highlighting their positive impact on supporting bilateral relations. For his part, the Cultural Attaché referred to the advanced standing of Malaysian universities in international rankings, affirming readiness to expand scientific and academic cooperation in a manner that serves mutual interests.
