The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur Continues to Strengthen Academic Cooperation with Malaysian Universities.

As part of the ongoing efforts by the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur to enhance cultural, scientific, and academic cooperation between the two countries, Acting Chargé d’Affaires, Counselor Ahmed Ghanem Abdel Jabbar, responded to the official invitation sent to him by Tenaga National University (Uniten), one of Malaysia’s prestigious universities with a long-standing academic reputation, and officially recognized by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research as one of the approved scholarship universities, on November 1, 2025.

He was received by the Head of the Business Management Department at the Graduate Studies Unit, Dr. Mohamed Rezan, who welcomed his guest and appreciated the Iraqi Embassy’s keenness to maintain direct contact with Malaysian universities and to follow up on the affairs of Iraqi students studying there.

The Acting Chargé d’Affaires also participated in the temporary scientific activities during the graduation ceremony of the 27th batch of university students, which included several Iraqi students in various academic stages and disciplines.

During the ceremony, the university’s administration praised the outstanding level demonstrated by Iraqi students in terms of discipline, seriousness, and their positive interaction with colleagues from different countries and cultures, in addition to their academic excellence, which received appreciation from the university management and faculty.

Following the official ceremonies, Counselor Ahmed Ghanem Abdel Jabbar met with the graduating Iraqi students, congratulating them on their graduation and wishing them a bright future in which they contribute their expertise and knowledge to serve their homeland, Iraq. He emphasized that their excellence is a source of pride and honor for their country and reflects the bright image of Iraqi students in universities.
