Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Participated in the Solidarity Gathering in Support of the Palestinian People.

On 8 October 2025, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur, Counselor Mr. Ahmed Ghanim AbdulJabbar, participated in a mass solidarity gathering organized by the Malaysian Government in coordination with several civil society organizations and popular gatherings to express support and solidarity with the Palestinian people in their legitimate struggle to obtain their national rights and to condemn the ongoing attacks committed by the forces of the Israeli entity. The event witnessed a large attendance of Malaysian citizens who expressed their full solidarity with the brotherly Palestinian people and their just cause.

Also present were members of the Malaysian Aid Team – Nusantara Resilience Initiative, some of whom had previously been detained by the Israeli naval forces while participating in humanitarian convoys bound for the Gaza Strip.

The event was attended by a number of senior Malaysian officials, including the Prime Minister, H.E. Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Dato’ Seri Mohamad Hasan, as well as a number of heads and members of Arab, Islamic, and Asian diplomatic missions accredited in Kuala Lumpur.

The Prime Minister of Malaysia delivered an address on the occasion, in which he expressed his appreciation for the humanitarian stance of the Malaysian people and their solidarity with the Palestinian people, affirming that Malaysia will continue its diplomatic efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace and to establish an independent Palestinian state enjoying full sovereignty and human dignity.
