The Chargé d’Affaires a.i. receives the Deputy Minister of Education for Scientific Affairs and the accompanying delegation

On 24 September 2025, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i., Counselor Ahmed Ghanim AbdulJabbar, received the Deputy Minister of Education for Scientific Affairs, Mr. Mahdi Salih Al-Awadi, and his accompanying delegation, which included Mr. Mirdan Abd Zaid Mezher, Director General of Education in Najaf Al-Ashraf, and Ms. Huda Fenjan Tawos, Director of the Property and Lands Department at the Ministry of Education.

The meeting addressed ways to support the educational path of the Iraqi community in Malaysia, in addition to emphasizing the development of educational activities at the Iraqi School in Kuala Lumpur in a manner that serves the students and pupils and enhances their academic performance and educational attainment.

The Deputy Minister expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation for the efforts of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur in supporting educational affairs and following up on the concerns of the community, affirming that this support reflects the State’s continued care for its citizens abroad.

For his part, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. welcomed the Deputy Minister of Education and his accompanying delegation, affirming that the Embassy will continue to provide all necessary facilities to ensure the success of the Iraqi School in Kuala Lumpur and to strengthen channels of communication between the homeland and its expatriate community.

The Deputy Minister of Education and his delegation also visited the Iraqi School in Kuala Lumpur, where they met with the administrative and teaching staff, reviewed the progress of the educational process, inspected the classrooms, and listened to a briefing by the school administration regarding the educational process and the main challenges faced.
