Official Meeting at the High Commission of Brunei Darussalam.

The Chargé d’Affaires a.i., Counselor Ahmed Ghanem Abdul Jabbar, met with Mr. Aizul Hakim Suyoi, Director of the Political Section at the High Commission of Brunei Darussalam, on 2 September 2025 at the Commission’s headquarters.

The meeting began with an exchange of courtesy and words of welcome. The Chargé d’Affaires a.i. expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Director of the Political Section at the High Commission of Brunei for convening this meeting, extending his congratulations on the successful official visit made by His Majesty Sultan Hassan Bolkiah to Malaysia. He also referred to the success of the visit carried out by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Rural and Regional Development of Malaysia, Dr. Ahmed Zahid Bin Hamidi, accompanied by a delegation of 11 officials and executive staff, including the Minister of Higher Education, the Chairman of the Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA)—one of the most significant government institutions—and the Political Secretary to the Head of Delegation, which took place from 22–26 August 2025, included official meetings with H.E. President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, H.E. Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, as well as H.E. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Fuad Hussein.

From the other side, Mr. Aizul Hakim Suyoi extended his congratulations and best wishes on the success of this visit and praised the role of the Iraqi Embassy in ensuring its success. He also briefly outlined the key outcomes of the Sultan of Brunei’s visit to Malaysia and expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. for his visit and for his continued engagement with the staff of the High Commission of Brunei Darussalam.
