The Chargé d’Affaires Visits the National Olympic Team’s Training in Kuala Lumpur

As part of the Iraqi Embassy’s ongoing efforts to support national teams, the Chargé d’Affaires, Mr. Ahmed Ghanem Abdul-Jabbar, visited the Olympic team’s training session, held on Tuesday morning, August 26, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s capital.

Upon arrival, the Embassy’s representative was welcomed by the head of the team delegation and a member of the executive office of the Iraqi Football Federation, Captain Ghanem Arebi, alongside the head coach of the Iraqi Olympic team, Captain Imad Mohammed, the coaching staff, the administrative staff, and the players.

The Chargé d’Affaires expressed his appreciation for the tremendous efforts made by the technical and administrative staff in preparing the team. He emphasized his confidence in the players’ ability to deliver excellent performances during the upcoming AFC U-23 Championship qualifiers. He also urged the players to give their best to achieve results that reflect the reputation and status of Iraqi football in the region.

For their part, Captain Ghanem Arebi, along with Coach Imad Mohammed and the members of the technical and administrative staff, praised the Iraqi Embassy’s initiative, commending the support and attention it provides, which boosts the players’ morale and enhances their competitive spirit ahead of the Asian tournament.
