Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq University delegation visit to Iraqi Embassy

The Acting Chargé d’Affaires, Mr. Mohammed Falih Hammoud, along with the Iraqi Cultural Attaché in Malaysia, Dr. Abdul Jaleel Mohammed Majeed, received a delegation from Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq University during their visit to Malaysia. The delegation was headed by Dr. Ahmed Shihab Al-Bahri, Dean of the Technical College, Dr. Samir Salam Mohammed, Assistant Dean and Head of the Statistics Department, and Mr. Ghadeer Ghazi Shayea, Head of the Scientific Affairs Department. The meeting took place at the embassy on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.

At the beginning of the meeting, the delegation expressed their gratitude to the embassy for the warm reception and provided an overview of the university’s establishment, its academic and scientific contributions, and its advanced scientific and technological programs, particularly in the field of cybersecurity. The aim is to prepare graduates with high levels of competence and leadership skills.
The Acting Chargé d’Affaires noted that many Iraqi students choose Malaysia as a destination for their academic studies due to its advancements in technology and innovation, he also expressed the embassy’s readiness to cooperate with the university to connect with the scientific talents within the embassy’s field of work and benefit from their academic and scientific expertise in various fields.
For his part, Dr. Abdul Jaleel Mohammed Majeed, the Cultural Attaché, expressed his desire to enhance cooperation between Iraqi and Malaysian universities, he welcomed the Acting Chargé d’Affaires’ proposal to arrange a meeting between the delegation of Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq University and the Iraqi scientific talents residing in Malaysia.
The meeting was also attended by the embassy’s Deputy Head of Mission, Counselor Mr. Ahmed Ghanem, and the embassy’s Media Officer, Miss Maha Jassim.
