تعرب وزارة الخارجية عن ترحيبها بقرار الحكومة السويسرية رفع حظر السفر المفروض على عدد من المدن العراقية، والذي شمل، كخطوة أولى، كلًا من بغداد، والبصرة، والنجف الأشرف، وبابل، وكربلاء المقدسة، إضافةً إلى إقليم كردستان، وذلك نتيجة الجهود الدبلوماسية المتواصلة التي بذلتها وزارة خارجية جمهورية العراق، وبالتنسيق المستمر مع وزارة الخارجية السويسرية والجهات المختصة ذات العلاقة.

وتؤكد الوزارة أن هذا القرار يعكس تنامي الثقة الدولية بالأوضاع الأمنية والاستقرار الذي تشهده المدن العراقية ، ويُعد خطوة إيجابية تسهم في تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية بين جمهورية العراق والاتحاد السويسري، وتوسيع آفاق التعاون المشترك في مختلف المجالات.

كما تثمن وزارة الخارجية التعاون البنّاء من الجانب السويسري، مجددةً حرصها على مواصلة العمل الدبلوماسي بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة، ويعزز صورة العراق الإيجابية على الساحة الدولية.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq welcomes the decision of the Swiss government to lift the travel ban imposed on a number of Iraqi cities. As a first step, the decision includes Baghdad, Basra, Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf, Babil, and the Holy City of Karbala, in addition to the Kurdistan Region, as a result of the continuous diplomatic efforts exerted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, in close coordination with the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and the relevant competent authorities.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq affirms that this decision reflects the growing international confidence in the security conditions and stability witnessed in Iraqi cities. It also represents a positive step toward strengthening bilateral relations between the Republic of Iraq and the Swiss Confederation, and expanding horizons of joint cooperation in various fields.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq further commends the constructive cooperation of the Swiss side, reaffirming its commitment to continuing diplomatic efforts in a manner that serves mutual interests and promotes Iraq’s positive image on the international stage.
