القائم بالأعمال العراقي في بيرن يتسلّم قطعاً أثرية عائدة إلى العراق

تسلّم القائم بالأعمال العراقي في برن، الدكتور محمد جواد مهدي، مجموعة من القطع الأثرية الثمينة التي تعود إلى نحو خمسة آلاف عام من التاريخ الحضاري للعراق، وذلك في إطار التعاون الثقافي الدولي والجهود المشتركة لاستعادة الآثار العراقية إلى موطنها الأصلي.
وفي كلمة ألقاها بهذه المناسبة، أشاد الدكتور محمد جواد بالجهود التي أسهمت في إنجاز عملية الاستعادة، مؤكداً أن كل قطعة أثرية تمثل جزءاً من ذاكرة العراق العريقة، وتحمل في طياتها قصة حضارة امتدت عبر آلاف السنين.
وأشار القائم بالأعمال إلى أن إعادة هذه القطع إلى العراق تُعد خطوة مهمة في تعزيز التعاون الثقافي بين الدول، وتجسيداً لحرص المجتمع الدولي على حماية التراث الإنساني المشترك وصون التاريخ الحضاري للشعوب.
ودعت السفارة العراقية في برن المهتمين بالشأن الثقافي إلى زيارة المتاحف العراقية للاطلاع على هذه القطع الأثرية النفيسة، إلى جانب العديد من الكنوز الأخرى التي تروي فصولاً من تاريخ العراق العريق، وتعكس إسهاماته في مسيرة الحضارة الإنسانية.

The Iraqi Chargé d’Affaires in Bern, Dr. Mohammed Jawad Mahdi, has received a collection of precious archaeological artifacts dating back nearly five thousand years, representing a significant part of Iraq’s ancient cultural heritage. The handover ceremony took place as part of ongoing international cultural cooperation and the collective efforts to return Iraqi antiquities to their homeland.
In his remarks, the Chargé d’Affaires praised the efforts that contributed to the successful repatriation of the artifacts, emphasizing that each piece embodies a story from Iraq’s long and rich history. He noted that these artifacts stand as enduring symbols of a civilization that has shaped human history for millennia.
The Chargé d’Affaires added that the return of these antiquities reflects the international community’s shared commitment to safeguarding world heritage and strengthening cultural cooperation among nations.
The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Bern invited all those interested in culture and history to visit Iraqi museums to explore these remarkable artifacts and other treasures
