The newly accredited Ambassador of Iraq to Germany presents his letter of credence to the President of the Federal Republic of Germany.
On the 17th of September, 2021, His Excellency Ambassador Lukman Abdul Rahim Faily presented his letter of credence as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iraq to His Excellency the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier. During the credential ceremony, H.E. President Steinmeier expressed the importance of relations with Iraq in all fields, wishing the Ambassador all success in his new mission.
It is worth mentioning that His Excellency Ambassador Faily submitted a copy of his credentials to the German Foreign Ministry on August 31, 2021. His Excellency is the fourth Iraqi ambassador to occupy this position since 2003. He previously served as the Head of the Legal Department and the Department of America in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iraq, he has also served as the Iraqi Ambassador to Japan and the United States of America.
